Snow Day(s) in Mississippi? Blasphemy.

This week I have yet to be at work since we had the long holiday weekend followed by three snow days thanks to severe winter weather that has moved in to the Gulf coast. I took this week's picture from my apartment balcony the day after most of the heavy snow, but we received somewhere around nine inches total that didn't fully melt until today in some areas. Some places in southern Mississippi still have snow, and we have plenty of driving warnings, as we don't have the same snow-related infrastructure as other parts of the country may to handle winter storms. These cancellations, though, also meant a delay to the spring semester, which I know is less than ideal for once-a-week classes.

We will be back tomorrow to have a singular day of work, where I will likely take stock of tasks that we planned for this week and make a plan to tackle all immediate items and then spread the lower priority tasks throughout the week in an effort to keep up with any deadlines. Next week, I know we have two exciting events occurring so I can't wait to provide updates and talk about what I'm working on. Stay tuned and stay warm if you are currently bracing winter storm Enzo.
