A Week of Figures

This week has been all about figures. Our team has a major meeting tomorrow, and what I've spent my time doing is wrangling data for another project and making figures to help visualize trends in the data. These data are a time series of live and dead oysters across almost 20 years, and are part of understanding how the openings of the Bonnet-Carré spillway have affected ecosystem health in the Mississippi Sound. I can't share any images from this project, since we are still hard at work, but I've spent a lot of the week problem solving and learning new aspects of coding.

I am also pleased to announce that I published the final chapter of my dissertation this week. This project, where my team and I used luminophores and microelectrodes to track some ecosystem effects of microplastics pollution, was a wonderful international collaboration that I was so privileged to lead.
