This week, I am taking a break from introductions to highlight an awesome initiative started by the Florida State University's Coastal and Marine Lab. I was asked to give an interview and explain how my research has changed or been affected by the pandemic. In Florida we have been hit especially hard, potentially due to the unwillingness of people to wear masks and practice social distancing, so my research plans for this summer had to change; you can't go out on a boat and work in close proximity with researchers when there's a pandemic.
Thank you to Maddie Mahood, our amazing outreach assistant for the opportunity to talk about my work, and as always, a huge thank you to our amazing team at the FSUCML for providing a really safe plan for continued research and operations during this time. Check out my interview--as well as the work that everyone else at the lab have been doing--here.
